About me

I have spent most of my life working closely with young children, from Nursery up to age 11, as a primary school teacher. The part of that work that I loved the most was the emotional aspect, the pastoral care, developing relationships, nurturing confidence and self-esteem. I reached a point in my career where I felt I wanted to use my knowledge and pursue my interest in working with children in a different direction, relational rather than educative.
I carried on with that journey and have completed the Humanistic Psychotherapy Level 7 GDip in the modality of Emotion-focused Therapy, which combines Gestalt work and the Person-centered Approach.
